Wild Wings at Times Square!

Everyone likes chicken wings, right? Ok, so everyone should like this post. On the 13th,  my family went to The Rock! And there is a Buffalo Wild Wings near Times Square.

Who doesn't go to a Buffalo Wild Wings if they pass by? I would go if I did! That's exactly what happened yesterday. I went to buffalo wild wings with my mom & dad and we all stuffed our faces! I got a "build your own" burger with Swiss cheese, bacon, and a fish fillet as the protein. It tasted DELICIOUS! The best part was that I dared Daddy to eat chicken wings with the HOTTEST hot sauce the restaurant had! It was called "Blazin' sauce" He went crazy when he ate it. His eyes got all watery, he kept coughing and almost choking, and since I dared him to do it, I owe him a shoulder rub. Daddy just can't back down from a dare. Once, Mommy dared Daddy to drink hot sauce (like, actually drink it, alone!) and he did! But he ended up vomiting in a garbage can afterwards. Gross! Daddy also tried to eat a tablespoon of cinnamon once without water. That ended up with wet cinnamon all over the kitchen and a hysterically dry-mouthed Radhames. I hope you've caught the lesson in this post. But, just in case, the lesson is....
Daddy is CRAZY

IHOP Cinn-A-Stack Pancakes

I didn't bring my camera with me on our latest visit to IHOP, I always prefer using actual photos rather than stock, so I apologize in advance for the sample photo above.

In theory, this sounded like an awesome combination of a Cinnabon and a stack of IHOP buttermilk pancakes. In execution, it's not as much fun as it sounds.

CINN-A-STACK® Pancakes A stack of four fluffy buttermilk pancakes layered with a luscious cinnamon roll filling, drizzled with rich cream cheese icing and topped with whipped topping.

The cinnamon roll filling was a bit much after the first few bites, especially once the stack cools a little. It just felts thick and really, really sweet. I did enjoy the cream cheese icing a lot, it was freakin' delicious even when mixed with a little syrup. I think if they cut back on the filling and kept everything else the same it would have worked out much better.

It wasn't bad by any means, but when I first read the menu description I was ready to be blown away, maybe I let my imagination get the best of me (damn this fat kid trapped inside me and his crazy thoughts). The wife did get the Chocolate Chip Pancakes and those were out of this world.

If you have a sweet tooth, get a stack of these, a nice helping of syrup, and plenty of water to wash 'em down. I suggest skipping the OJ unless you have an insulin shot ready to go. If you're not into the sweet stuff, I would opt for regular buttermilk pancakes or the Chocolate Chip joints.

On a side note, is it just me or has the syrup at IHOP become more watery with each passing year? When I was a kid, I remember it being really thick and more syrupy than anything Mom picked up at the supermarket, now it's basically water with a little food coloring and sugar thrown in. It just spills all over my pancakes, it's got no body! Is it just me?
